Bein' Little

Today Mom, Dad and I went to the hospital and visited Grammit. She doesn't feel good and she can't hold me. I squeeked a lot. And of course, the nurses loved my cheeks. Tonight Mom, Dad, Hannah and Abby all played Hide and Go Seek in the dark. I can't play because I don't know how to be quiet enough.

I had the nummiest stuff for dinner. Chicken noodle, mango dessert and peach-mango puffs. I've started using the pincer grasp to pick them up but I have yet to put them to my mouth by myself. So, I pretty much just squish them and throw them overboard.

So Close!

Lately I've been trying to crawl. Mostly it consists of me flinging myself forward onto my stomach, then flopping onto my back, being unable/unwilling to roll onto my stomach again, then crying until everybody stops laughing and puts me upright again.

I love cuddling with my mom. The past two days when she's been holding me, I lay my cheek against her shoulder, and start talking to her and she says things like, "Uh huh," "Mmhmm," and "Oooh." I know she'll always be a good listener when I need someone to talk to.

Last night I had a hard time getting to sleep so Mommy and I were all alone in our room and we said a little prayer. It really helped.

I can't wait to have a new car seat. I have very nearly outgrown the one I'm in. Mom and Dad saw a pink one they like. I like it, too. It's pretty.

Friends!

Today at church I had so much fun. There were two little girls sitting behind me and we talked and played the whole time. Mom tried to put my binky in my mouth to stop my screaming but I kept spitting it out. Then I would reach for Grandma 'cause she let's me do whatever I want. Blah-ha-ha!

New Sound!

I can growl. I mean, wow, I can growl. I was cracking Grandpa Steve up today. I had just pulled my sock off and was playing with it and he had the audacity to try and take it away from me. Every time he did, I tried to put my hand out of his reach and I growled at him. He just laughed. If he put his finger in my mouth, I'd be the one laughing.

Time to Celebrate!

So amidst the bad news this week, there is a cause for celebration. I have a second tooth! My dad found out when I bit him. Cool, huh? Mom is freaking out cause I'm getting so big. I just keep trying to tell her it's okay but she doesn't understand my words.

Mom and Dad say that's why I've been kinda fussy the past few days and why I've been waking up at night. I could have told them that. Weirdos.

Mom and Dad are very sad right now. They're trying to be happy for me but I can feel that they're not happy. I gave my mom a good long kiss today cause I knew she needed it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!!!

Today is so fun. It's Daddy's birthday and mom and I made a cake! Look how cool!

Okay it was leaning a little but we're awesome. The cake is lemon with blueberry filling so we put fondant lemons and blueberries on it. Yummy, right?!

Skeered!

Today was a lot of fun with Mommy and Daddy. Mommy has started reading to me every time I take a nap. It's our new ritual. She says it's so I will have a love for reading when I'm grown up, but I think it's just cause she wants to practice reading out loud.

My Great Grandma and Grandpa Green came to visit! Grandma held me while I watched Grandpa. He was so interesting. When he did hold me I tried to grab his nose a couple of times. It was nice to see them. Although, I had just woken up from a nap and I was pretty sober. They should visit again soon!

Tomorrow is Daddy's birthday. He's going to be 23! Crazy, huh! Mommy and I are going to make him a cake. He likes Mom's lemon and blueberry cake, so that's what we're going to make.

Tonight before my bath my mom had me sitting up on the floor. Whenever I would look down she would put her hand in front of my face and scare me! She laughed a lot. So after a while I would only look down for a second cause I'm smart and I knew what was going on. I'm glad I can make Mommy laugh so much, though.

Blood!

So I have this new habit of sitting up on the floor and then flinging myself forward onto my stomach.

Well, today I did it with a binky in my mouth. When I hit the floor it came up and hurt my nose. There as a little bit of blood. My mom felt really bad but I only cried for a second. Pretty sure I just wanted to be held and this was my way of doing it. Now I'm bouncing in my horse screaming at my mom's bunny slippers.

I'm also happy to announce that my mom is getting better with signing the ABCs on both hands and she's getting faster doing the "Next time won't you sing with me" part, too.

The past few mornings I've been waking up and turning sideways in my bed. It's not very comfortable cause my head always gets stuck at an odd angle. When I get stuck I scream and make my mom think that I'm dying or at least getting pinched by thousands of lobsters. At least she gets to me fast when I do that.

Now I must go because the bunny slippers are no longer entertaining.

Here is the picture of the fabulous cake that Mom and Dad made. Dad made the gravestone and it says '50 = Death'. It is made of fondant and food coloring. Mom made the hand and it's made from oreos, pretzel sticks, fondant and food coloring.

Yay for creativity!

Day of Veg

Today I had a lot of fun with Mom and Dad. I watched while they made Grammit a cake for her birthday. It's the coolest cake ever. I'll put a picture up of it soon. It's on Mom's phone and I don't think she remembers where she left it... Silly Mommy.

We went over to Grammit and Grandpa's house to celebrate her birthday. Mom and Dad played games while I squealed from the floor. I was very entertaining. Grandpa fed me and even signed Eat to me. Gosh, grown ups learn so fast.

Anyway, today was great!

PJ Day!

Today was a PJ Day because Mommy is sick. We both took baths and got in clean PJs and we chilled.

But yeah, since my mom is sick, I'm going to make her feel better now.

I forgot to post the coolest thing ever from yesterday! My mom was giving me breakfast and I put my hand in the bowl and then I fingerpainted with it! It was quite fun.

Anyway, about today!

My mom says today is Elvis Presley's birthday. She thinks I should know that because my middle name is Presley. I think she's really weird. I look at her funny when she tells me that.

On a fabulous note, I didn't nap very much today! It was quite fun... not so much for my parents, but I got lots of play time in.

I also got to watch a couple of movies with Mom and Dad today. They kept trying to put my binky in my mouth cause I wanted to talk while they were watching. They make comments about the movie, why can't I?

Oh, something fun. Mom put a ponytail in my hair today. She loves it, Dad hates it. I'm good either way.

I sat with Grandma today and I wanted to hold the TV remote. Wow, do I know how to use technology or what. I kept turning the TV off and the volume up.

Anyway, I'm bouncing in my horse right now, just waiting to fight my parents so I don't have to go to bed. Wish me luck!

Mama's Girl

Today I would not let my mom out of my sight... if she was able to put me down without me screaming, of course. I'm still coughing but I feel better. I had fun with my socks today. I pulled them off every time my mom put them on me. It's a fun game.

Daddy gave me a bath tonight. Mom and Dad administered medicine and I took it all! Yay!

Doncha wish your baby was perfect like me! Doncha... I don't know the rest of that song...

Happy Birthday, Grandpa Ken!!!

Today was pretty fun. I took a very long nap which enabled my mom to relax for a few. Today instead of a bath I got to take a shower with mom. I like it but I kept sticking my face in the water and that wasn't a lot of fun. I also keep trying to hold onto the water but it always disappears out of my hands. My eyebrows go up so far trying to figure it out sometimes mom thinks they have disappeared into my hairline. The drain is also a lot of fun to play with but mom's shampoo doesn't taste very good. So, I recommend that you learn from my mistakes and don't try it for yourselves.

Today I visited Grammit and Grandpa Dan. It was nice seeing them after I've been sick. Tonight mom forgot to give me my medicine so she had to wake me up to give it to me. Mean, huh? It's okay, I went back to sleep.

Oh Good...

I slept last night! I was very pleasant today, I even wanted to bounce in my horse. My mom says I'm the most amazing baby because this morning when Dad went to work she got me up, changed my diaper, rubbed Vicks on my chest and back, gave me Dimetap, and did the whole plunger thing to my nose and I didn't cry or fuss at all. I really am amazing.

I had a really good dinner! Pineapple glazed ham, I know it even sounds good.

I am sorry to report that I spit out not only Dimetap but also Motrin. Tonight might not go well.

It's Official!

It's official! I have a cold. Last night I was up every hour. I've never done that! This is my first illness and I'm not sure how to handle it. I'm so tired my eyes droop but Mommy made me some apple juice popsicles and they made me feel so much better. Mom and Dad tried to give me Motrin this morning and I spit it out on them... Sometimes I can be a tad difficult. But this afternoon I took it very well.

When I was really fussy my mom sang to me and did the ABCs in sign language. I like watching her hands when she shows me signs. Some day I'll be able to do them, too.

So tonight I've had a bath, I'm in warm jammies, I'm slathered in Vicks Vapor Rub waitin' for Dimetap and I'm cuddlin' with Daddy. I think I'll sleep better tonight. At least I hope so for my mom's sake!

So Fussy!

So guess what? Last night at midnight I woke up and had to have some Motrin. I haven't woken up in the middle of the night since I was FIVE weeks old! Can you believe it? I must be teething.

Today Grandma watched me while my mom and dad went shopping. They didn't get me anything. What a jip! But! I got to play with all the leftover Christmas bows. It was fun, some of them were sticky and Aunt Hannah and Aunt Abby put them on my head. Tomorrow Mom and I are going to make Daddy watch Signing Time so he can know everything Mom knows. I gave her lots of kisses today... she always wipes her face after though and says, "Yuck!" I just don't get it! I'm givin' her lovins!

Oh! And I got to play the Playstation today. Mom had a controller and I had a controller but my red light wasn't glowing so I kept fussing and reaching for Mom's. She laughed and put me down for a nap. Rude!

Anyway, I want some food. There's Homemade Soup waiting for me in the cupboard!

First Blog!

This is Addyson's Blog! Therefore (isn't it cool that a seven month old infant knows such big words?) this blog will be written in Addyson's point of view. Enjoy!

Today I was kinda fussy. My new tooth is fun to feel but it hurts a little. Mommy and Daddy stick their fingers in my mouth to feel it and it makes me giggle when they squeal in pain. Tonight we went to dinner with Grammit and Grandpa, Kerstin, Matt and Kenzie. I got to eat sweet potatoes and chicken. I was so excited I kept bouncing in my seat and screaming! Then my mommy was going to give me a drink of water from her cup and I sneezed in it! Everyone laughed.

After dinner we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Hansen's house to watch the Ute game. I prefer BYU but I was glad the Utes won. I do think the call about unsportsmanlike conduct was dumb but the refs couldn't hear me squawking at the TV.

Today was fun, I got to stay up two hours past my bed time! My poor parents.
